Access
Ports, roads and industry
- Trisakti port in Banjarmasin, on the Barito, the province’s main port.
- Batulicin and Kotabaru on the south-east coast, with Batulicin a coal shipping hub.
- Syamsudin Noor airport in Banjarbaru, serving both cities.

Due diligence
Check before you buy
-
Near a mine, check the licence maps and any open pits before you buy land.
Void pits, reclamation and communities: coal's local footprint -
Outside the cities, much land is held on a village letter (SKT), not a certificate. Treat it as a claim, not a title.
Unregistered land: SKT, girik and segel -
For a coal concession, check the licence record, the yearly quota and how the coal reaches the barge.
Due diligence on a coal concession -
Check forest status even near the cities. A certificate doesn’t prove the land sits outside the forest estate.
